Hey, I’ve seen the Popular Scientifics magazine covers, I know what the future was supposed to look like, and this ain’t it. In fact, I’d argue the opposite has come to pass. Spare time has become the Holy Grail of the digital age. Like government intelligence and aerosol lunchmeat, computer derived spare time exists only as theory, blue sky breeze shooting, a promise unfulfilled.
